4. Co-Construction of Curriculum with Students

Our biggest asset are the students!

Catholic Education Melbourne values the dignity, differences, and infinite possibilities in each student.

Catholic Education Melbourne aims to empower students with the knowledge, skills, capabilities and confidence to embrace the opportunities and challenges of their world and commit to authentic action for justice and the common good.

Horizons of Hope also states that “Pedagogy in a Catholic school asks everyone in the learning community to care for, to be in relationship with and to inspire others. It involves a learning community working and learning alongside each other and being present in all aspects of the learning process”.

A whole school approach to ecological thinking and faith in action (which is driven by students) is a perfect way to enact this commitment.

Consider this….

What if students were empowered to take on this challenge to shift thinking and actions in the school? What could this look like?
