Description
The 2026 Jubilee Year of St Francis invites Catholic communities around the world to rediscover the witness of St Francis of Assisi — a model of peace, simplicity, compassion, and ecological awareness.
This 2-hour self-guided online course supports educators to enter this Jubilee with depth and intention.
Through a sequence of short readings, Scripture, Franciscan texts, video stimulus, and guided reflection, participants explore key moments in Francis’ life and conversion, including his encounter before the San Damiano Cross and his joyful kinship with all creation.
The course introduces ecological conversion through the lens of Laudato Si’, inviting educators to reflect on their own worldview, habits, and professional practice.
Accessible, engaging, and grounded in Catholic identity, this course offers practical ways to bring Franciscan values to life in school culture, relationships, leadership, and ecological action. It is suitable for teachers, leaders, RECs, and staff across all Catholic education systems.
